The Anglican Church of the Americas (ACA) is a network of churches, ministries, missions, dioceses, and provinces who are firmly committed to the orthodox doctrines of the historic Christian faith in the context of Convergence worship, spirituality, and theology which emphasizes the Evangelical, Charismatic, and Sacramental teachings of Holy Scripture. We believe that Anglicanism and, indeed, all of the Body of Christ, stand in great need of spiritual renewal in these perilous times that face us; and the only way that this renewal will become a reality is by the unconditional acceptance of the power and presence of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers in Jesus Christ. We believe that Holy Scripture is divinely inspired and contains all that is necessary for the salvation of the soul, and the sacraments are important for the working out of one's salvation through Christ.
   

If Anglican believers in Christ are going to be truly renewed - and we believe that this is beginning to happen on a global scale - then it must be as a result of being open to the power of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Church, responding obediently to the Great Commission of Christ (Matthew 28:19-20), evangelizing the world with the Good News of the Lord Jesus, and making strong and mature disciples who love each other and obey Christ's Gospel. Anglican "business as usual" will not bring about this great spiritual awakening. As scripture says, "Not by power, nor by might, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts." (Zechariah 4:6) Also, we read in II Chronicles 7:14 a very important truth about the renewal for which we are praying:

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

The Anglican Church of the Americas offers an umbrella to all who feel called to join us in this exciting vision that God has given us to impact the world with the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ.
